DENVER (CBS4) – The search for a Denver kidnapping suspect has intensified in Louisiana.
An arrest warrant is out for Bret Lee Luckett Thompson, 27, on charges of kidnapping and sexually assault in the abduction of an 8-year-old girl last Thursday. She was taken from an alley in southwest Denver and found 90 minutes later 3 miles away at a gas station on Federal.The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department is now working with Denver investigators after a man resembling Thompson was spotted on surveillance video at a business in Iberia Parish in Louisiana. The man is suspected of taking someone’s purse at a bar.

The suspect was possibly driving a 1999 white Pontiac Montana with Colorado license plate 697-WJA or Louisiana license plate STV-813.
Thompson has two tattoos on his upper right arm. One on the inner right arm has unknown letters. The other, on the right outer arm, has the letters SS.

Police said Thompson is a transient who trims and shoes horses and typically hangs out in rural areas.
There is currently a reward of $12,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information on Thompson is asked to call Denver police or Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP.
