Officials Hope To Contain Park County Fire Monday Night

PARK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters expect to fully contain a wildfire in Park County Monday night.

The fire broke out Sunday afternoon near Eleven Mile Canyon Reservoir in the Pike National Forest.

More than 50 firefighters including two hot shot crews were on the scene Monday. The fire has burned at least 42 acres of dry brush. It was about half contained Monday afternoon.

"The grasses here have still not greened up. They are still brown so they act like they are still dead; it feels like winter conditions," said Ralph Bellah, a fire prevention officer.

Investigators believe the fire was started by a person.
