Health Department Issues Dust Advisory For Southern Colorado
DENVER (AP) -- Strong winds are expected to create blowing dust across southern Colorado.
The Colorado health department issued a blowing dust advisory for a nearly 300 mile stretch of the state, from Durango in the west to Lamar in the east.
Health officials report the strong winds are expected to kick up dust as they move across parts of New Mexico, Arizona and Utah.
Children and elderly residents are advised to avoid prolonged exertion if visibility drops to less than 10 miles because of the blowing dust.
