20 Indicted Near Fort Morgan For Falsifying Documents

FORT MORGAN, Colo. (AP) - Eleven people have been arrested in the Fort Morgan area and an additional nine people are sought after their indictments on allegations of falsifying documents to work in the U.S.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a statement says those arrested were apprehended at their homes Wednesday. ICE says 20 egregious violators were indicted by a state grand jury on accusations that they possessed or used fraudulent "green cards" and Social Security cards to obtain employment in the United States.

Seventeen of those indicted were from Mexico, with the rest from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

An ICE-led Homeland Security Investigations Document and Benefit Fraud Task Force established in 2006 to deter fraud conducted the investigation.
