"It appears the driver was traveling eastbound on East Hampden Avenue at a high speed and lost control, struck the south curb, rolled in to the ditch, struck a light pole, and came to rest upside down in the parking lot at the Kennedy Golf Course," Jackson said in a statement.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene

Also on Sunday at around 10: 30 p.m. police responded to the Interstate 70 and I-25 interchange on a fatal motorcycle collision.

"The motorcycle rider was traveling north on the eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-25 and lost control striking the concrete shoulder barrier," Jackson said. "The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and driver was pronounced dead at the scene."

The names of the victims haven't been released.
