Castle Rock Police Investigate Deaths of 2 Children
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Castle Rock found the bodies of two children in a home in the 200 block of Cherry Street Monday morning.
A bicycle officer went to the home after the female homeowner made a 911 call. The woman's children, a 6-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, were found in the house but police are not saying how they died, other than to say it does not appear to be an accident.
The children's mother was taken to a hospital and was apparently hurt in some way. Police say there is no threat to the Founders Village neighborhood where the incident happened.
A neighbor told CBS4 many children in the neighborhood and possibly the two who died were together at a barbecue on Sunday night.
