Officer Struck By Police Cruiser Directing Traffic At U2 Concert

DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver police officer was hurt while directing traffic after Saturday night’s U2 concert at Invesco Field at Mile High. The officer was hit by another Denver Police Department vehicle that was transporting a prisoner.

The injured officer was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He was in stable condition Sunday evening.

The cause of the crash is being investigated. No names are being released.

The Denver District Attorney will review the case to see if any charges should be filed.
