BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- A Brighton firefighter is being held in jail without bond on allegations of domestic violence.

Police in Brighton arrested Randy Cleveland. He’s in the Adams County Jail facing several charges including sexual assault, rape strong arm, second degree assault, aggravated assault against a family member, child abuse and domestic violence.

The Brighton Fire Department said Cleveland has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.

Cleveland is scheduled to appear in court for his initial appearance at 8 a.m. Monday, May 30, at which time he will be advised of the charges against.

I think you may have missed in the “several reports” that neighbors also reported hearing him fighting and screamin on a regular basis. Why didn’t they hear his wife. Could it be that he had scared/abused her silent??? So talk about getting your details in order?!?!?!?! Seems to me like you missed a few yourself.

I know this gentleman and he is not this bad person. I think things have gotten out of control and i can say I’m pulling for him to battle this!! He has my fullest support.

I also know this “gentleman” who cant and wont keep his hands to himself. How can you fullly support someone who would hurt the mother of his children in front of them?!?!? Seriously, are you kidding me??? I think things got out of control the VERY first time he layed hands on her… Its a safe assumtion that he is a bad person and deserves what ever he reaped! Brighton PD, FD and DA’s have better things to do than to chase one of their own for unfounded alligations!!!

I know this man as well and infact have personal experience with him. It is very true and you all should realize that abusers never show there true colors to the public. its what happens behind closed doors that counts. Why else do you think he was arrested??? Duhhhhh Get your facts people. there is proof and all you can do is talk about how things look on the outside. you people are sick and have no idea what hell this man is putting WOMEN through.

LS you hit the nail on the head.! Y I also personally know Randy Cleveland, and I can attest that he is not the person that he portrays, and and hey check out the family with his sister and his step brother…..birds of a feather!

i have known randy since i was born!my father was a fire fighter with randy for 15+ years.i drag race with randy on weekends and i know his neighbors sence i was born also.there is no way he would have done any of this ! his wife is lieng and its unbelivable that he is going through this.if needed i will apear in court to attest!

I highly doubt his wife is “lying”. If she has finally gotten courageous enough to stand up and take control back over her life from her abuser, then the community needs to come together and support her instead of keeping her locked in the cycle of abuse. Just because you “know” this person in the outside world doesn’t mean that “they would never do such a thing”. Abusers only let you know what they want you to know about them, and it never involves you knowing that they are abusing their significant other.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. What you see on the outside is just a cover. Read the entire book first.
