Perlmutter Presents Purple Heart To Korean War Vet
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado congressman Ed Perlmutter is presenting the Purple Heart to an 83-year-old man who was wounded during the Korean War.
Ross Donald Stensgaard will receive the Purple Heart during a ceremony Wednesday with his family and friends at Perlmutter's Lakewood office. Stensgaard was wounded in Korea during a combat military barrage. He served from November 1950 to October 1951.
He worked in customer service for airlines after he finished his tour of duty in Korea and still works three days a week at the Denver car auction.
