Former Vestas Employee Faces Felony Theft Counts

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) – A former finance director at the Vestas wind turbine blade manufacturing plant in Windsor has been charged with theft.

Vestas filed a lawsuit earlier this year alleging 44-year-old Denna Randall Martinez of Eaton took $1 million from the company from August 2007 until she was fired last December. The lawsuit alleged she and her husband used a company credit card to buy items including plane tickets and hotel rooms for personal use.

The Greeley Tribune reports Randall Martinez now is charged with two counts of felony theft of $20,000 or more on allegations she used more than $2.15 million of Vestas money for herself, her friends and family.

Her phone number is unlisted, and she couldn’t be reached for comment Monday.
