40 Homes Evacuated In Jeffco Because Of Wildfire

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A 2-acre wildfire was burning along Parmalee Gulch Road just west of Highway 285 in Jefferson County Monday afternoon.

Because of the location of the fire and the weather, 40 homes on Seminole Road and Algonquin Road had to be evacuated. Residents were allowed to return around 6 p.m.

There's no word on how the fire started. It began around 4:45 p.m.
