Teen Dies After Swerving To Avoid A Deer In Summit County
SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (CBS4) - A teenager has died after swerving to avoid a deer on the road.
Elizabeth Murphy, 17, was on Highway 9 north of Silverthorne when she swerved and rolled her Subaru Monday night. Summit County investigators say she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
Two other girls were in the car and also hurt. One has serious injuries. The third was buckled up in the backseat and has minor injuries and is expected to recover.
