Parking Rates On The Rise At DIA

DENVER (CBS4) – Parking at Denver International Airport will cost more starting next month.

The hourly rates will not change, but daily maximums will. DIA says the increase will bring in an additional $17 million each year. It will also bring its parking rates more in line with other major airports.

Starting June 1 the Pikes Peak and Mount Elbert shuttle lots will go up $1 to $7 per day. The economy lots will go up to $11. Garages will cost $21 a day and valet parking will be $30 a day.

  1. WTH? It’s already absurdly overpriced. I just spent $38 for an overnight trip to CA where I parked in the garage — for not even 36 hours! That’s more than a dollar an hour!

Something had better change regarding how they calculate daily rates and tack on what seems like penalty rates for anything over 24 hours.
