Broncos Go Defensive Again In Round Three

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos keep bolstering their beleaguered defense, taking versatile linebacker Nate Irving of North Carolina State in the third round of the draft Friday night.

The Broncos selected UCLA safety Rahim Moore in the second round and Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller with the second overall pick as the team attempts to overhaul the league’s worst defense.

The 6-foot-1, 242-pound Irving had seven sacks and 21 1/2 tackles for a loss as a senior. He missed the 2009 season after sustaining injuries in a car accident.

Denver also used a second-round pick on offensive lineman Orlando Franklin of Miami.

The Broncos they do need bigger men on defense that is for sure because they get squashed like bugs playing other teams like the New York Jets or the Ravens
