American Legion Commander Visits Colorado
DENVER (AP) - The national commander of the American Legion is visiting veterans facilities and Legion posts along Colorado's Front Range this week.
Jimmie Foster starts his visit in Aurora Monday, touring the site of a new veterans hospital and Fisher House, a temporary residence for out-of-town veterans and active-duty service personnel who are getting medical care or visiting hospital family member in the Denver area.
On Tuesday he visits the Denver Vet Center, which offers counseling for military servicemen and women who are re-entering civilian life. On Wednesday, he visits the Center for American Values in Pueblo.
Foster will also visit Legion posts in the Denver area, the Colorado Springs area, Pueblo, Loveland and Westcliffe.
