COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Colorado Springs police officials say a male suspect seen firing a gun in a backyard has been fatally shot by an officer.

Police officials say they received several reports of a man shooting a gun Friday morning in a residential area. When police arrived, they saw a man holding a handgun lower the weapon until it was level with a home in the neighborhood.

Police say an officer fired once at the suspect and hit him in the torso. He died after being transported to an area hospital.

The man’s name hasn’t been released. The officer who fired his weapon has been placed on routine paid administrative leave.

If you are a police person you can shoot anyone at anytime and some people will automatically believe it is justifiable. Such is the state of the intelligence of the common man..
