Watch CBS4 Program 'Colorado's Most Endangered Places'

Each year, a list of Colorado's Most Endangered Places brings attention to sites in the state with historic significance that are in danger of being lost. The list is assembled by Colorado Preservation Inc. Watch the 2011 CBS4 special, hosted by Tom Mustin, based on this list in the video clips below.

The familiar sounds of Sunday morning greet families as they enter the Handy Chapel in Grand Junction.

One city in Colorado has strong roots to prisoners. Canon City's history is embedded in the prisons located in its city limits. Now, residents of the small town hope to preserve its penitentiary past by saving the Old Deputy Warden's House.

Built in Salida in 1889, the Unique Theater first served as an opera house. A group of businessmen decided that the town needed a proper opera house to attract the big names who were passing through town.

The Given Institute in Aspen was built in 1972. Time may be running out for the building.

An early pioneer cemetery in Arvada blends in with its surroundings in a neighborhood where the living seem to have forgotten the dead.
