Animals From Arizona Brought To The Dumb Friends League

DENVER (CBS4) – Dozens of dogs and cats are now recovering here in Colorado after being rescued from someone who was hoarding them in Arizona.

The Dumb Friends League took in 75 dogs and 6 cats early Friday morning.

They were brought in by an animal rescue group.

Most of the pets are in good shape, but will need some rehab before they are ready for adoption.

Why doesn’t Arizona take care of their own rescues??

Because then they animals would be euthanized in AZ. Just like any other state they don’t have funding to take care of the animals and the only option would be to euthanize them. So out of the kindness of the Dumb Friends League hearts they took in the animals.

I agree with Sue. For every dog brought in from out of state, a Colorado rescue loses a chance at a home. What is so kind about that? Let Arizona take care of their own rescues.

An animal in need is an animal in need. It doesn’t matter where it is from. If DFL can help with these situations, they are to be commended. There are a lot of “Katrina Dogs” living in Colorado.

Dumb friends league euthenizes too, I mean it is great that they took in animals, but that only means more will be euthenized here.
