It's Official: H&M Store Coming To Denver Pavilions

DENVER (CBS4) - CBS4's partners at the Denver Business Journal are reporting local shoppers will soon have their first H&M store.

Denver Pavilions announced Wednesday the Swedish clothing chain will move into one of the pavilions anchor spots previously occupied by Nike Town.

The store which is known for its trendy but affordable clothes for men, women, teens, and children will open in late 2011. Downtown developers say it will draw shoppers to the 16th Street Mall.

"They are one of, if not the most, sought after retailers on the planet today," Mark Sidell of Gart Properties said.

Shoppers who know the chain are counting the days until the store opens here.

"I like It because they have a great selection and price wise it's good," a shopper said.

H&M has 2,200 stores in 38 countries.

Not everyone is familiar with the H&M brand. One shopper who was shopping at Victoria Secret for his lady friend asked, "What is an H&M?"
