DENVER (CBS4) – A woman is dead after being stabbed in Denver on Tuesday.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said officers responded to a domestic violence and stabbing in the 5000 block of East Donald Avenue.

“When officers arrived on scene, they found a female suffering from apparent stab wounds,” Jackson said in a statement. “Paramedics transported the female to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.”

Police didn’t release the identity of the victim.

Marcello Ochoa Sanchez, 29, was arrested at the scene.
