DENVER (CBS4) - State representatives took a break Monday at the state Capitol to honor 64 Girl Scouts who are receiving the Gold Award.

The Gold Award is the highest honor in the Girl Scouts. The girls chose a project which helps their community and this year’s projects ranged from preventing domestic violence to gardening and recycling to help the environment.
