Wall Of CDOT Mountain Facility Buckles Under Snow
KEYSTONE, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado Department of Transportation says a wall on one of its facilities near Arapahoe Basin caved under the weight of snow this week.
CDOT spokesman Bob Wilson told the Summit Daily News the wall buckled inward between 2 and 4 a.m. Wednesday, and a CDOT truck inside was crushed. Wilson says the snowplow is likely totaled, and the cave-in caused an estimated $100,000 in damage. The department doesn't have an exact cost of damages.
Wilson says no one was hurt.
