WARWICK, R.I. (AP) – Police have identified a Colorado man who was killed while trying to cross the street in Warwick.
Police said Saturday that 52-year-old Richard R. Rodrigues of Windsor, Colo., was in Warwick on a business trip. They said he was crossing the road Thursday night after having dinner at a local restaurant when he was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Kevin Madden of Warwick.
Police said they are still investigating the accident. But they said speed and alcohol don’t appear to be factors in the crash and that Madden likely won’t be criminally charged
