HUGO, Colo. (CBS4)- The wife of the man who shot and killed a Limon police officer was formally charged Wednesday.

Jackie Hasty, 50, was formally charged with reckless manslaughter and accessory to a crime in the Lincoln County Courthouse in Hugo.

Investigators said Hasty was at home with her husband, Dennis Hasty, when he shot and killed Officer Jay Sheridan, 27, on March 9.

Dennis Hasty then turned the gun on himself after an hours-long standoff. He was wanted on a sex offender registry violation in Tennessee.

Jackie is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Officer Sheridan was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 15, in Limon.
