I-70 At Vail Pass Reopened After Accidents Cleaned Up

VAIL, Colo. (CBS4)- Both directions of Interstate 70 at Vail Pass reopened at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. It was closed for several hours because of multiple accidents.

Westbound lanes of I-70 reopened just before 7 p.m.

Eastbound lanes of I-70 from mile markers 180 through 190 over Vail Pass reopened about 30 minutes later.

Winter weather driving conditions are being blamed for causing the accidents on Vail Pass, according to Colorado State Patrol
