Spring Break 2011 is here and if you want to get a good deal, you’d better get on it.  The price for an airline ticket has gone up since last month and there’s very little chance that its coming down anytime soon.  As a result, airfares are more expensive this year due to the rise in fuel costs.  However, there are still some good deals for hotels–everything from dirt cheap room rates to free spa packages.

As for Mexico, Robert Polk of Polk Majestic Travel says right now it might be a good idea to stay away from Acapulco.  As for other places in Mexico, he says stay in the tourists, resort areas and just be careful.  Nationally, there are reports that most parents are not allowing their college age kids to go to Mexico during Spring Break for fear of violence.
