Report: 6-Year-Old Found Douglas County Bodies

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) - A woman found stabbed to death along with her brother-in-law in an upscale Douglas County home told authorities she was scared of her estranged husband who was arrested the day before the discovery of the bodies.

The bodies of 39-year-old Amara Wells and 49-year-old Robert Rafferty were discovered early Wednesday by Wells' 6-year daughter. The girl ran to a neighbor's house for help and reported finding her mom and uncle on the floor, with blood.

No suspects have been named in the slaying.

Police arrested Christopher Wells Tuesday on suspicion of violating a restraining order after he allegedly sent hundreds of text messages to Amara Wells.

He was being held on $1 million bond.

Authorities say they're following up on all leads.
