Western Colorado Man Accused Of Hundreds Of Sex Assaults
DELTA, Colo. (AP) - A western Colorado man has been arrested on suspicion of 873 counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
The Daily Sentinel of Grand Junction reported Tuesday that Jeffery L. Bigham, 47, of Delta has been in custody since his arrest Feb. 15.
Delta police spokeswoman Jamie Head did not immediately have details about the case or Bigham, including the man's occupation, how long he's lived in Delta or the number of alleged victims.
A number listed for Bigham was disconnected and it was unclear whether he had retained an attorney. Bigham is being held on $150,000 bail.
He is scheduled to be in Delta County Court on Wednesday.
