Chipotle Investigated For Alleged Illegal Immigrant Hires
DENVER (CBS4) - The Federal government expanded its investigation into illegal immigrants hired by Denver-based Chipotle Restaurants.
On Tuesday Immigration enforcement was looking at the documents for workers at 60 stores in Virginia and Washington.
This comes after the chain fired hundreds of workers in Minnesota who were found with suspect documents.
As of Tuesday, there were not any Colorado stores under investigation.
Chipotle said the audit is evidence of one of the major flaws in the current immigration system
