Springs Man Once Again Charged With Impersonating Officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A man from Colorado Springs has been charged with pretending to be a police officer.

Police say Jason Doorenbos-Parry outfitted his car with flashing lights, pulled people over and wrote fake tickets.

It's not the first time Doorenbos-Parry has in trouble. He was convicted last year of impersonating an officer. He claims to own Colorado Springs Security. The company website says the 25-year-old is an expert in the security field with a seven-person staff. But police believe he's the only employee.

"The city has no record of the security company, and the city of Colorado Springs has an ordinance that requires any security officers to maintain a license with the city," an official said.

Police say they have several complaints against Doorenbos-Parry. CBS4 learned there's a letter "F" next to his company's name with the Better Business Bureau.
