Husband Sues Wife Accused In Infant Son's Death

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The husband of a Boulder County woman accused of killing her infant son because she believed the boy was autistic is suing his wife for wrongful death.

The Daily Camera reports that 29-year-old Lloyd Rochester filed a lawsuit last week in Boulder County District Court claiming that his wife's actions were intentional . He's seeking damages for suffering and "emotional stress."'

Stephanie Rochester is charged with first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death in the June 1 suffocation of her 6-month-old son, Rylan. Police say the 34-year-old Rochester told them she smothered her son because she believed he was autistic and didn't think she and her husband could handle a disabled child.

She has pleaded not guilty reason of insanity. Her husband has filed for divorce .
