COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs are hoping someone will help them track down the driver of an SUV. That driver is caught on surveillance video tossing a chihuahua puppy onto the parking lot of a 7-11.

It happened at the 7-11 on W. Colorado Ave. on Saturday, Jan. 29 about 6:45 p.m.

The puppy walked around and tried to follow the SUV, but appears to be okay.

A customer walking out of the convenience store picked up the puppy.

Springs Police are asking for help tracking down the driver.

The puppy is being cared for at a foster home and is not available for adoption.

MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!!!! IT MAKES ME SICK THAT THERE ARE HUMAN BEINGS OUT THERE THAT HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANOTHER LIFE REGARDLESS IF THEY WALK ON TWO OR FOUR LEGS…..I WILL KEEP MY EYE OUT FOR THEM, YOU CAN MAKE SURE OF IT!

That makes me sick to think that someone could do that to that puppie..
I lost both my Chihuahua’s last spring Sunny was 8 years old and died of a collaps esophugus and Shelby was 15 years old and she died 30 days later I think of a broken heart.. I don’t see how they can do that we loved and miss our Chihuahua’s so mucn..

    RULE #1

    Assume nothing.
The person leaving the dog at the store could have found him in the middle of the street five minutes previous and chose to let him out where he would have a better chance of survival. And the irresponsible journalist who used the adjective “tossed” sets the mind-set of the reader to believe that an act of cruelty is being committed. Again, read rule #1.

Rule #2…Assume Robert Nassivera is one of the many jerks who seem to think animals are just objects to be discarded. It’s ok and not cruel for someone to leave an animal, especially one that young and small, in an open parking lot at night in below freezing temperatures and just ASSUME he will have “a better chance of survival”?? And to ASSUME he won’t get run over or wander off and freeze to death? How nice of them. Again, read rule #2.

Why do angry humans take out their frustrations on helpless animals? Someone needs to find this sick jerk and do exactly the same thing to him that he did to that baby dog!
