DENVER (CBS4)- Commuters along I-25 may have noticed more congestion and RTD buses Wednesday morning. The gates for the HOV lanes were frozen in the wrong position because of the cold.
Usually an employee with the Colorado Department of Transportation checks the gates to make sure they have switched.
That worker got stuck snowmobiling on Tuesday, and it took a few extra hours to discover the problem.
CDOT had to manually bring down the gates to open the lanes for traffic. That happened about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
