Judge Finds Enough Evidence For Trial In '82 Death
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A judge has determined there is enough evidence to put a Fort Collins man on trial in the slaying of a girl who disappeared from a party 28 years ago.
David Hehn, 46, faces first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping charges in the January 1982 slaying of 17-year-old Gay Lynn Dixon. Investigators say Dixon had been beaten and shot in the head with a .38-caliber revolver.
During a preliminary hearing Monday, a sheriff's investigator testified that Hehn's DNA was found on three items of Dixon's clothing, including on the waistband of her jeans.
The next court hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24.
