O'Malley Won't Seek Another Term As Clerk & Recorder
DENVER (CBS4) - Stephanie Y. O'Malley announced Wednesday that she will not seek re-election as Denver's Clerk and Recorder.
O'Malley was Denver's first-elected Clerk and Recorder in 2007 for a 4-year term.
O'Malley said she will explore her future options and concentrate on her family.
"My term as Denver's first elected Clerk and Recorder has been a rewarding personal experience," O'Malley said in a prepared statement. "Under my leadership, my team and I have accomplished many significant tasks that have led to Denver having an Elections Division it can now be proud of and a Clerk's office that is more efficient and professional."
O'Malley is credited with reorganizing all parts of the Elections Division.
