Hickenlooper Makes Final Cabinet Appointment

DENVER (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper has decided that Roxy Huber will remain executive director of the Department of Revenue through the end of July.

It was the final Cabinet appointment the governor gets to make for his administration. Only one, Ellen Golombek to head the Department of Labor and Employment, has been confirmed by the state Senate.

Huber was appointed by former Gov. Bill Ritter in 2007.

Spokesman Eric Brown says there are many pressing issues with the department, including problems with the computer system and budget changes. He said Huber will provide continuity while Hickenlooper searches for a permanent successor.
