Cab Companies Team Up With Denver Police

DENVER (CBS4) – Denver police officers are teaming up with taxi drivers to get tough on crime. On Friday they announced the “Taxis on Patrol” program.

Drivers from all four major taxi companies in the metro area will keep watch for anything unusual they may see while on the streets. It’s kind of a mobile “neighborhood watch.”

The taxi companies volunteering for the program are Metro Taxi, Yellow Cab, Freedom Cab and Union Taxi.

Excellent! They should be rewarded for any crime they stop too!
