Mammoth Found In Snowmass Village Gets A Name

DENVER (CBS4) - Bones of mastodons and mammoths discovered in Snowmass Village last fall are now drying out at the Denver Museum of Nature And Science.

The museum held a contest to name the first mammoth found and the winner is "Snowy."

Construction workers found the young female Columbian mammoth in October.

Snowy was just the first discovery that led researchers to an entire ecosystem.
