Gov. Hickenlooper Winds Up Colorado Jobs Tour

LOVELAND (AP) - DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is winding up his statewide tour to get help from local counties putting together an economic plan.

Hickenlooper has meetings Monday in Limon and Loveland after stops on the Western Slope and southern Colorado.

The new governor is meeting with business leaders, residents and local officials to discuss job creation, government efficiency and economic development.

He says companies sometimes aren't asked about how they can help the state.

The Vail Daily reports that while in Edwards Hickenlooper used Steamboat Springs-based SmartWool as an example. When operators were asked why the company didn't put a "Made in Colorado" stamp on their labels, he said they said nobody had ever asked them to.
