Aurora Officer Resigns After Sex Assault Accusations

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - An Aurora police officer resigned Monday after being accused of sexual exploitation of children in December.

Aurora police said Sgt. Morgan Sellman was arrested on Dec. 17. The Colorado Springs Police Department began the investigation. Sellman was immediately placed on administrative leave with pay and later placed on leave without pay.

Sellman had been with Aurora police for 14 years working as a quartermaster and in the department's DARE program. He had no role dealing with students.

An internal affairs investigation is being conducted by Aurora police.
