House Cleaner Sentenced For Kidnapping, Sex Assault

EVERGREEN, Colo.  (CBS4) - A Kittredge man was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting an Evergreen woman in December 2009.

Joel Michael Herrin, 41, was employed by a family in Evergreen when he kidnapped the 44-year-old wife and mother from her home.

Herrin pled guilty to kidnapping in September of 2010.

Police said Herrin went to the house and started cleaning. He then forced the woman into a bedroom and handcuffed her hands and feet. He took her to his home in Kittredge. He was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office after the woman's ex-husband called them when she failed to pick up their children.
