THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) – The man accused of leading police on a chase in the north metro area this week also faces charges for ramming a patrol car just weeks ago.
Andrew Terry, 35, is charged with attempted first degree murder and assaulting an officer for the Dec. 17 incident in Westminster.
On Tuesday night police say Terry sparked a chase that quickly turned dangerous. The chase, mostly in Thornton, got up to speeds as fast as 90 mph. At one point officers fired shots at Terry. There are at least two bullet holes in the back of his truck.
Listen to scanner traffic from the incident in the video clip below. At one point an officer reports “I almost got run over by this guy!” and you can hear screeching tires.
