DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Museum Of Nature & Science is asking for help in naming the first mammoth found at the Snowmass Village dig site.

Crews found about 600 fossils starting in mid October. The fossils are all from Ice Age animals.

Right now the dig is on hold for the winter.

Those who would like to help name the first mammoth found, there are five names from which to choose: jessie, ella. Ziggy, Samammoth and Snowy.

Vote on the names on the museum’s website.
