Even with Friday’s light snow it didn’t amount to much around the metro area only a dusting to an inch. Since DIA has only recorded a trace of snow so far this December it’s shaping up to be one of the driest on record.

The last time Denver experienced little snow in December was back in 2002 — we only recorded a trace for the entire month.

Before that you have to look back more than a 100 years ago to find a December similar to this one in 1905 and 1906 Denver only measured  a trace.

The driest December on record  was in 1881 with no snow recorded.

Least Snowiest:

0.0″–1881

Trace– 1905, 1906, 2002

0.1″– 1928

0.4″– 1890

0.5″– 1935
