George Karl Honored At Pepsi Center

DENVER (AP/CBS4) - During pregame ceremonies at the Pepsi Center Tuesday night Nuggets coach George Karl was presented a golden ball trophy to commemorate his 1,000th win.

The win came last week in Toronto as the Nuggets defeated the Raptors 123-116.

Karl is the seventh coach in NBA history with 1,000 wins. He joins Don Nelson, Lenny Wilkens, Pat Riley, Jerry Sloan, Phil Jackson and Larry Brown as the only coaches who have attained that feat.

The Nuggets went on Tuesday night to defeat the Orlando Magic by a score of 111-94 after the ceremony.
