Hickenlooper Weighing Whether To Move Into Mansion

DENVER (AP) -- John Hickenlooper isn't sure whether he'll move into the governor's mansion when he takes office next month.

He and his wife are weighing what's best for their 8-year-old son Teddy. He's got 16 other children to play with on his block. The mansion, meanwhile, is surrounded by high-rises and businesses and visitors must be buzzed in.

Hickenlooper told The Denver Post that one option might be living at the mansion during the week and returning to their Park Hill home on weekends.

Gov. Bill Ritter and his family moved into the mansion but Gov. Bill Owens, didn't.

The mansion has a marble wall imported from Italy and a piano signed by Liberace but it doesn't come with any help. The first family must do their own shopping, cooking and cleaning.
