Ritter Announces New Green Energy Loan Programs

DENVER (CBS4) - Gov. Ritter on Tuesday announced two new loan programs to help stimulate Colorado's green economy.

The first is called "Green Colorado Credit Reserve." It gives businesses the ability to borrow up to $100,000 for energy-efficient improvements. The second program is the Governor's Energy Office revolving loan program, which finances green energy projects through stimulus money.

"Programs like these are ways to help Colorado recover more quickly from the economic downturn," Ritter said.

Ritter says the loans will help put Coloradoans to work in clean, green energy jobs.
