Snowboarding Event Planned For Civic Center Park
DENVER (CBS4) - One of the largest manmade ramps ever built will be coming to Denver this winter.
The city announced Civic Center Park will be the home of Denver Big Air in January. The ski and snowboarding event will take place just days before the Winter X Games begin.
Organizers released images of the giant ramp that competitors will use. It's more than 100 feet high, 300 feet long and 80 feet wide.
More than 20,000 spectators are expected to attend.
Negotiations are under way to bring Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Shaun White to the event.
